FAQs
Boarding
Q: Is Woof and Whiskers licensed for home boarding and day care?
A: Yes. Woof and Whiskers is licensed with Nuneaton and Bedworth Council for home boarding and day care services (licence no 31954/1/2026). Some apps or booking platforms may not always require proof of licensing which can have safety and legal implications. We always recommend checking that any pet care provider holds the correct licence for the service they offer.

Q: Does my dog need to be vaccinated?
A: Yes. Dogs need to be vaccinated to stay with us. This is required to comply with our licensing regulations. Dogs that have not yet been vaccinated must have received their full vaccinations at least two weeks prior to their stay. Proof of vaccination will be required.

Q: Do dogs need to be sociable with other dogs?
A: Yes. Home boarding takes place in a multi-dog environment so dogs must be comfortable and sociable with other dogs to ensure a calm and positive experience.
Q: Is a meet and greet required for home boarding?
A: Yes. A meet and greet is required for all new dogs, regardless of the length of their stay. It is the first step before any booking is confirmed.
The meet and greet allows your dog to become familiar with the home environment and to meet the resident dog so their compatibility can be assessed. It also gives owners the opportunity to see where their dog will be staying and to ask any questions about the care routine.
This process helps ensure that the environment is suitable and safe for all dogs involved before boarding takes place.

Q: Is a trial stay required for boarding?
A: Yes. Dog's staying for longer than three nights are required to complete a trial stay. Trial stays are charged at the same rate as one night of boarding and help ensure your dog is comfortable and settled before longer stays.
Dog Walking
Q: How will you access my property if I'm not home for a dog walk?
A: There are two safe, secure options:
-
Key provided directly - you can provide a key which is stored securely in a locked cabinet when not in use. You'll also sign a key release form.
-
Lockbox - you can install a lockbox at your property and provide me with the code. The key will be returned to the lockbox after each walk.
